Anderson Mainstage Musicals

Performing Arts Inc's Anderson Mainstage strives to provide high level theatre to high school students in the greater Cincinnati area, where our stars can broaden their experiences, polish their musical theatre techniques, collaborate with other students in the area to create a community of artists who shine bright.

Location

All auditions and rehearsals take place at the Performing Arts, Inc. Loft ("The Loft")

The Performing Arts Inc. Loft is located at 6740 Clough Pike, Suite 203 (see map below).

Performances take place at the Anderson Center located at 7850 Five Mile Road

AUDITION DATE

Tuesday May 28th, 2024 - must sign up for your time slot. There will only be an acting/vocal audition on this day - there will not be a dance callback for this show. If you are sending in a video audition, please send it to cheryl@performingartsinc.net by 7pm on May 28, 2024 - everyone is expected to attend callbacks in person on Thursday May 30th - thought everyone will not be called.

LOCATION

PAI Anderson Loft, located at 6740 Clough Pike Ste 200. There is parking behind the building. Once you enter the building go up the set of stairs and through 2 green doors to enter the PAI hallway, The audition room will be to the left in suite 200. Please wait in the hallway until it is your turn to audition.

INDIVIDUAL SONG/MONOLOGUE AUDITION

Please come prepared with a 32-measure cut of a musical theatre song. Bring a device that can be plugged into a speaker to play your accompaniment (no pianist will be provided). An aux cord and an apple adapter will be provided (Please do not plan to use Bluetooth connectivity). After the song you will present a one-minute monologue of your choice.

PAPERWORK/FORMS

Please bring in a headshot and resumé of past experience, and fill out the audition form that will be emailed to all who have signed up the week before auditions. headshots not required for those who were in a production directed by Cheryl in the past six months.

CALLBACKS

Callbacks will be held on Thursday May 30, 2024 between 7pm-9pm. The callback list & materials will be sent out via email - The entire group will get the email however not everyone will be called back for an individual song/scene but PLEASE make sure you are available during this time frame- If you are not available let me know at your audition so I can make other arrangements, if necessary. There will NOT be a dance callback for this show.

REHEARSALS

Tuesdays 6pm-9pm and Thursdays 7pm-9pm starting June 4 at PAI Anderson Loft. Not everyone will be called for all rehearsals- a detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided. Please let me know of all conflicts as soon as you are aware of them.

PERFORMANCES

Dress rehearsal Tuesday August 13, 2024 time TBD

Shows: Wednesday August 14, 2024 & Thursday August 15, 2024at the Anderson Center

Fee $140/participant

AGE

Participants must be 14-19

All payments must be made online 24 hours prior to the audition for it to be considered. Performingartinc.net/payments If you cannot pay online ahead of time please bring an exact amount cash payment to the audition. Costumes are not provided.
